Kelly Anne Brown

Kelly is a hybrid academic, working in program development and administration at UCHRI where she manages several large grants including the Luce-funded Religions in Diaspora and Global Affairs Initiative, the Mellon-funded Humanities and Work Initiative, and a 3-year initiative on "alt-ac" across the UC system. Her previous scholarship concentrated on modernist publicness, and she is currently working on contemporary manifestations of California-based public humanities programs. She received her PhD in Literature from UC Santa Cruz in 2011. Her dissertation was not a digital humanities project--but she wishes it had been.
